@Yas Yeah, I think you've got to take the good with the bad. I did decide to put myself out there in this way. I have nearly a thousand followers on Twitter, so there are bound to be a certain number of negative elements. It's just part of the deal on the web I think.

@Carrie Thx for following me on Twitter. The vast majority of my experiences on Twitter have been very positive. I've met a LOT of great people, both online and off from Twitter. As I said, I follow a lot of people and a lot of people follow me - same with Julia. You do have to be careful on any social network I think, but in general people are very polite and friendly on Twitter. You can block people too, if you need as well.

Hi JJ,

I'm a new follower of yours on Twitter and just came around to check out your blog. I'm also a relatively new Twitter user. I gotta say, I love Twitter, but this is the second disturbing post I've seen in two days. Yesterday, I read about Julia Roy's stalker on Twitter, and now I'm reading about your run-in. Is this a common occurence on Twitter?

Hmm. That must have been weird experience...
I guess, when you publicly voice your thoughts/opinions out there, you'd get various responses (which I believe it's one of the fundamental functions of social networking), but that doesn't necessarily allow us to literally do whatever we want.

I appreciate that, if you are the person responsible. The account hasn't been deleted though.

The account you refer to has been deleted.
I would like to apologise to you publicly if it freaked you out. It was done on a whim, and after thinking about it, I realized it wasn't a very pleasant thing to do. I have deleted the account.

Please accept my sincerest apology, JJPROJECTS.

A little freaky to be sure. Seems ironic based on your first post of the year. Sometimes the social media freeway doesn't take you to nice places.
