Michael Jackson has posthuumously become the most popular person on Facebook. In terms of numbers, Jackson’s Facebook fan page now has more fans than Barack Obama’s.
Since his death, Jackson’s page has grown from around 80,000 fans to over 6.6 million. Apparently the page has been gaining fans at a peak rate of around 20 fans every second! No doubt the number of fans will continue to grow rapidly with the various tributes and memorials happening at the moment.
It’s not hard to imagine Michael Jackson becoming even more popular in death than icons such as Elvis and Marilyn Monroe.
