Sometimes I find I have no idea what the big issues are in the world unless I go outside social media. I find this a bit troubling.

I’m glad people are willing to talk sex, politics and religion here sometimes. Social media seems kind of trivial without such talk.

@deswalsh Well people don’t have conversations about those subjects very often I’ve noticed, but sometimes.

@SilkCharm I can’t remember the last time I saw a mention of the wars we are involved in here. So much talk about new shiny toys though.

@_pants_ Well it’s mostly meaningless banter I think, which is fine, it has it’s place, but it’s pretty boring if that’s all it is.
